The Voting Officer (VO) is responsible for the proper administration of the voting process during Advance Voting or on Election Day. The VO has the final and deciding word in all matters at the voting station and is responsible for maintaining peace and order.

As an employee, the Voting Officer:
Is not allowed to engage in partisan political activity from the time the oath of office is taken for the position at Elections Manitoba until duties are completed on Election Day (such activity will result in immediate cancellation of appointment).
Remuneration:
The Voting Officer is paid a basic fee of $169.00 for work at a regular voting station on Advance Voting Election Day. An additional $34 is paid to attend a training session. A T4 slip is issued for money earned.
