Role of the CEO
The Chief Electoral Officer administers provincial elections to ensure they are fair and free of political influence as set out in The Elections Act and The Election Financing Act . The CEO reports to the Legislative Assembly of Manitoba, and the CEO cannot be a member of a political party or vote in an election.more
Elections Manitoba is headed by the Chief Electoral Officer who is assisted by the Deputy Chief Electoral Officer.
Returning officers (ROs) manage the election at the electoral division level and are your main contact for information and assistance during an election.more
