Party Election Returns
Point Douglas ByElection 2017

Under Manitoba's Election Financing Act, in an election year, the financial officer of a registered party must file an election financial return with the Chief Electoral Officer in addition to its annual financial return. The election financial return (for parties) reports on the campaign period (i.e. from May 12, 2017 to Aug 14, 2017). For detailed information about what must be included in the election return, see section 62 of The Election Financing Act. The election returns must be filed within 4 months of Election Day.

Registered parties qualify for reimbursement if their endorsed candidates, in total, receive a minimum of 10 % of the valid votes cast in the election.
