2009 NDP Leadership Contest
The Elections Finances Act requires public disclosure of leadership contestants' finances. This enhances the fairness and transparency of the process political parties use to choose their leaders. Once filed, NDP leadership contestant's financial returns are posted to this website. The filing deadline is January 18, 2010.
A Set Date for General Elections
Manitoba now has a set date for General Elections. The first set date election is planned for October 4, 2011. Following that, a general election must be held on the first Tuesday in October in the fourth calendar year after election day for the last general election.

As Manitoba's population changes, it is necessary to review electoral boundaries to ensure effective representation for everyone. The Electoral Divisions Boundaries Commission is mandated to review all provincial electoral division boundaries including the name of each division every 10 years.
